USS Pompano was mistakenly bombed by aircraft from USS Enterprise but managed to escape.
Here’s another one:
USS Tang pictured above, was an ace US submarine… until she literally sank herself with a circular running torpedo.
Why am I so jealous towards couples? Why am I tired of being single and feel my life is over?
Oh yeah. These kinds of incidents are quite common even in modern war, let alone back then.
